A stainless steel casting company follows a general process to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and consistency in each stainless steel casting it produces. An experienced staff should monitor this process to ensure that all processes are strictly followed. Firstly, a pattern is produced, followed by a mold (also called a metal die or master die).Due to the shrinkage of the wax pattern, ceramic material, and stainless steel casting itself, this is an intricate process.

In order to manufacture and assemble the wax patterns, a mold must be developed first. Because each casting part requires a different wax pattern, the number of wax patterns will depend on how many castings will be produced. As a result of this process, hot wax is injected into molds and solidifies to create exact replicas of the parts that will be made.

When a mold is created, it undergoes a heating process in order to strengthen it and eliminate remaining wax. During the cooling process, molten stainless steel is poured into each mold cavity while it is still hot, with the liquid metal flowing through. Once the casting has cooled, it is removed from the mold pattern by shaking, or divesting.  Final Step is to work on the finishing of the cast, it involves grinding or sandblasting the cast to make it smooth and remove any imperfections on surface.
